Phenylethylamine is a mood elevator and an appetite suppressant that affects the central nervous system.
Phenylethylamine is frequently used together with diet and exercise to treat obesity in people with risk factors such as: high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or diabetes.
Recent studies have also shown phenylethylamine is an effective treatment for patients suffering from certain forms of depression, including Bi-Polar Depression, by providing relief in at least 60% of the patients who participated. Those results are about equal to the results obtained when patient studies were conducted on the effectiveness of name brand prescription medications, such as Prozac®. The significant difference is that phenylethylamine is considered a "physiological" treatment because it is a naturally occurring brain hormone that is deficient in patients who suffer from some forms of depression.
It seems to be most effective in patients whose depression failed to respond to
other anti-depressive drug treatment therapy. Phenylethylamine does not put the patient at risk for the common side effects which can occur with the use of prescription anti-depressant and diet drugs, such as weight gain and/or decreased sex drive, produces NO TOXIC EFFECTS, TOLORANCE OR ABUSE. Furthermore, it works much faster and can yield noticeable results in as little as just a few hours to one day. (Most prescription anti-depressants take up to 2 weeks to have a noticeable effect.) There are no known harmful effects even when taking phenylethylamine over long periods of time, within the recommended dosage range.*

Dosage:
Take 1 to 2 tablets
in the morning and 1 tablet after lunch. Do not exceed 4 tablets per day.
Tablets are to be swallowed whole, not chewed.
Warnings:
Not for use by individuals under the age of 18
years. Taking Phenylethylamine together with other diet medications such as fenfluramine (Phen-Fen) or dexfenfluramine is not recommended Do not take Phenylethylamine
with any other diet medications without your doctor's advice. Do not take Phenylethylamine if you have used an MAO inhibitor such as isocarboxazid (Marplan), phenelzine (Nardil), rasagiline (Azilect), selegiline (Eldepryl, Emsam), or tranylcypromine (Parnate) within the past 14 days. Do not take Phenylethylamine with any other diet medications without your doctor's advice.
Do not take this medication if you are allergic to Phenylethylamine or other stimulants, or if you have: heart disease, high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), an overactive thyroid.
If you have any of these conditions, you may not be able to use Fastin.
Do not take Fastin without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant. It is also not known whether Phenylethylamine passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. Do not take Phenylethylamine
without first talking to your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby. Do not
give this medication to anyone younger than 18 years old without the advice of a
doctor. Do not take Phenylethylamine in the evening because it may cause sleep problems (insomnia).
Stop taking Fastin if you have increased hunger or if you otherwise think the product is not working properly. Do not take more Fastin for an increased effect or to make up for a missed dose.
Keep out of reach of children.
